Dear Bay Area- won’t you join Oxfam and me at the annual Hunger Banquet to learn and discuss and increase awareness and decrease that feeling that you would like to do more but you can’t because of this appointment and oh i forgot about I told Jim I would and oh gosh yes person on the street with clipboard of course I care about starving children who doesn’t that is NOT the issue right now it’s just i’m late and i don’t have my credit card…

New Screenings Announced for AMERICAN TEACHER
The film that Thao scored, AMERICAN TEACHER, has added screenings in dozens of new cities, including today, 10/28, in Hartford, CT and Monday, 10/31, in Chicago, IL.
Its final screening in New York is this Sunday, 10/30, with a Q&A featuring director Vanessa Roth.

Radiolab Live: In the Dark is part of the Bay Area Science Festival and will take place November 3rd and 4th in Berkeley, CA. More details below and HERE.

Radiolab is a show about curiosity, where big ideas are explored with an
infectious enthusiasm for the mysteries of science, and the magic of
real-life experiences.
Radiolab’s live shows are exuberant, perspective-shaking
extravaganzas–where crowds cheer for scientists, artists illustrate
philosophical puzzles, and musicians guide our hearts and heads through
complicated ideas and complex emotions.
Join hosts Jad Abumrad, a MacArthur “Genius” Award-winning radio producer,
and Robert Krulwich, a highly-acclaimed NPR science reporter, for a night of
electrifying storytelling, live music and dance, and stunning
images–featuring a live performance from comedian Demetri Martin, and live
scoring from Thao Nguyen. The topic is In the Dark–from the blackness of
space outside an astronaut’s helmet, to two very different realities
described by two blind men, to the dawn of sight and the evolution of the
eye.
